Picking up my Moto…..but
June 13th, 2009 · La Vida
Where are my jacket and helmet????? No where to be found. Grr. I’ve been hanging here for a couple days waiting on a call or email from Louay to get my helmet and jacket. Nothing. They have a helmet law here, so I can’t fire it up and take it anywhere without a helmet. But I saw “ole Zephy” as Fred calls it 🙂 and it is looking pretty!! I sat on it and was flooded with emotion. I’ve come full circle in my journey and what an incredible journey it has been. Now I get to look forward to a x-counrty moto journey back to; Morrison, Colorado! ( via San Fran) where I hope to settle (for a few months :-)!) But anything could happen………
While I wait to pull things together for my ride back…..there is PLENTY to do in San Diego. In fact, I’m a little concerned about the feeling I have that I could stay here for awhile. I need to get my helmet and jacket and leave……just so I’m not tempted to stay!
Balboa park, is a park in SanDiego……filled with museums. Its peaceful and calm to walk around the grounds and the exhibits are awesome! Unfortunately I had to miss a few that I wanted to go to but I did see some incredible ones. One of them, I went to with Jon, was an da Vinci exhibit in the air and space museum. People had worked to build da Vinici’s inventions. We could walk around and get a good understanding of how each of them worked. Pretty inspiring!

Welcome to…..San Diego
June 13th, 2009 · La Vida
So, shortly after flying with Matt, I was flying on a big commercial airliner to San Diego. What an exciting landing. The line up brings you right over down town. I’m told pilots don’t like to land here because its like coming into a hole. On the flight, I read. I read all about Plane Crashes! I didn’t choose this……it just happened to be the next chapter in my book. ha! Very interesting. When I was getting off, the stairs malfunctioned and we had to wait for a while for them to fix them. This was great because I got to stand right in front of the cockpit and chat with the pilots!! I was able to ask them all sorts of questions, and believe me, after reading about crashes, I had some curiosities :-)!

fly…….iNG!
June 11th, 2009 · La Vida

So exciting!! On a moto ride in the mountains, Matt suggested we go flying the next day. Hell yeah!! He scheduled a 9am flight. Turned out to be a beautiful day, with lots beautiful views of the snow covered mountains and action packed lakes. What an AMAZING sensation flying is! And to see the world from that perspective is so special. It was incredible to see how how man has developed the land and to see the way the front range looks from above.
Here’s the sure handed pilot…..Matt!
The sensations are incredible. This poem begins to describe it……….

Living the Good Life ~
June 11th, 2009 · La Vida
Enjoying a morning in my Moms hot tub……after a yoga session that kicked my butt! Colorado has been wonderful, so good for my soul. I’ve really enjoyed the quiet, the mountains, the signs of spring and good conversations and all the physical activity I’ve been doing.
The book I’m reading analyzes our ideas surrounding success. Very interesting…..gets me thinking about stuff!

To dance on the rock……
June 4th, 2009 · La Vida
The dance of climbing is based upon movement guided by nature. By flowing and working with natural elements, we are able to find the inner core strength, balance and rhythm that brings one closer to the natural being of the self.
The rock cannot be conquered without first being given respect and understanding. Once this relationship has been established, can you further experience the beauty of rock climbing. And the desire to conquer is replaced by the quest for unity.
