I left Denver and today I’m in Moab! I was getting worried it would be hard to leave Denver because I was having so much fun and making so many connections……but alas, I left and it felt great to be leaving……and on the road. I stopped and swam in the Colorado River a couple times along the way. Once, close to where the river begins and another time closer to Moab. Its interesting how much the river changes in the short distance. The smells, the feeling, the animals, the color of the water……
I spent the night along the Colorado river, just outside of Moab and was trying to figure what it is about this place that makes me feel so DAMN good! It’s beauty enters every cell of my body.
I drove my car here, which felt strange for me not to be on a moto! I missed not being able to feel the breeze on my face as I zoomed over the roller coaster hills of 128 just before entering the canyon. I realize this place is very much woven with moto’ing memories.
I’m in Moab today to meet up with Fred and begin our Moto trip (I am a passenger for this trip!) out to Seaside Oregeon, via Hells canyon, down 101 and back. Wow. How exciting, I can’t wait……but being in Moab is helping to hold over my excitement. I was taking pictures of the sun setting on the Red Cliffs and the Colorado river flowing through……..and my camera ran out of batteries. So hopefully, before we set out, I can get my fancy batteries all charged up for the trip. I don’t know………..!
