Wind And Waves

I came to Todos Santos for the ocean. But. It just might be the desert and it’s people, that have my heart!

Sooo sacred! and surprisingly diverse and alive.

It’s another day in the life. Good morning ocean. Goodmorning Sun. oh good morning whales breaching! Good morning breeze. Good morning Dogs. Good morning cruise ship way off in the distance. Good morning Body……oh so sore! This surfing thing has got to somehow become more sustainable to my body!

Last night was a bonfire on the beach. I felt so powerfully with the elements. The waves crashing right there. The fire burning high, the moonlight shining right about us. The breeze gently stirring. The soft sand in my fingers and toes. The richness we seek is in the quiet, in the things that land…. subtely. In the lighter, touch.

The Winds of change, are blowing as they do……….the water is already getting colder. No! and the air too. No!! Before I know it, I will need to don my wetsuit. triple no!! The warm waters have been oh sooo comforting and welcoming. Perhaps I will follow them 🙂

Might be time to find a new church…..

Might be time to find a new place that has fresh organic food. Something tells me though…… that the world is beautiful and these things are not as hard to find as they would have us believe. We are living in Heaven! The land is bountiful and beautiful!! I do wish, that we all had this thought running through our minds 50,000 times a day :-).

Halloween, exitsts in Mexico……but it has an entirely different energy about it. It is mixed in with Dia De las Muertos, a three day celebration period to honor the deceased. Because the veil is thin….this is a good time to talk, hang out, be with your loved ones who have passed. This brings a sacredness to the air and a sense of love and togetherness.. The celebrations are contrasted with death…….so the alive-ness of our opportunity to be in the land of the living, with its music and colors, textures, flavors,smells and beauty, casts everything in a special vibrancy. I just LOVE the Mexican culture!

Thats me. It seems as though….. the whole “surfing thing” is not intuitive to me! I thought I would be a natural born surfer, I hoped I would! But my body and mind know the mountains and rivers, not the dynamimacy of el mar! Ha!! I am learning the ocean every day. And Every day it is different and I am different and the currents are different and the bottom is different, the crowd is different. The variables, as it turns out, are infinite! But!!! I am loving this motor-less sport that puts you right in the heart of the big mother! Every day is a new day.

and……..Finally, she taps the feeling of flow. Floating in green, green, green, cast in golden light as the road gracefully unfolds. Deep sigh. Everything that has happened has created — this. Moment. It is the place where her thoughts get lighter, her senses are sensing and appreciating. The place where her mind is integrating – not ruminating.

The place where she understands why she is here on this beautiful blue and green planet – having a human experience.
